Times & Seasons  was founded in 1985 by its present conductor and Musical Director, David.  His wife Christine and three other founder members are still singing with the choir.  For nine years David was organist and choir master of Chipping Ongar Parish Church, Essex.  He and some of the choir from the church decided to form an independent choir in order to be able to perform a wider range of music.

Our name reflects the origin of the choir and is taken from “Times”, referring to the secular world of music as it has developed over the years and the “Seasons” of the Church’s year with their own associated forms of sacred music covering all periods of time.
